Each year, 3 million youngsters play Little League Baseball (LLB) and Softball in over 6,000 leagues spread across the country in thousands of rural and urban communities alike.

Challenges:

• Consolidate player and league data in one location and make accessible to headquarters for data analysis and reporting
• Streamline the registration and fee collection for local administrators
• Create and host local websites that offer a consistent look and feel and give administrators, coaches, and players the flexibility to be creative

Solution:

• A centralized database called the Little League Data Center was created for LLB staff.
• Local administrators were provided web-based tools to login, update data, upload player data and league information to the Data Center.
• A customized online registration module was designed to provide standardized local data collection with a consistent LLB look.
• A network of self-setup LLB websites allowing districts, leagues, coaches, and players to post news, stories, photos, videos, schedule updates and much more.
