Product Tips and Tricks

Inserting Custom Messages into Registration Categories

Product Tips

Here's a tip if you have multiple registration categories and would like to send a custom message in your registration and/or email confirmations. We recommend using our Group Categories tool to make the registration process smoother for your participants.

  1. Go to www.active.com/explorer
  2. Type in your username and password, click log in
  3. When the page refreshes go to the "Select Listing ->" drop down bar located in the top left – pull the bar down to select which listing you would like to access.
  4. Once you have selected a listing you will see a set of yellow folders on the left hand side of the page; your registration categories will be listed under the Registration Categories folder.
    - Go to the specific Registration Category and click on Customize Options
  5. Enter your messages in the Registration Confirmation and/or Email Confirmation box.
  6. Scroll down and click Save at the bottom right.
Note: To update multiple categories, select each category by following steps 4-6 above.

"Active [online registration system] seemed to be the most commonly used and simplest to understand. After we overcame our initial fears about online registration and found a company that looked like the right fit, we were ready to move forward...This has absolutely been a very positive experience for us."

Yvonne Hunt, Sr. Marketing Manager

Yvonne Hunt

I joined The Active Network as a Sr. Marketing Manager after a friend described the team and atmosphere as "fun, fast-paced and enthusiastic". As the marketing manager for sports and camps, I’m responsible for our website, e-newsletter, conferences and participation at partner events like the recent Little League World Series.

Outside of the office, I volunteer for Outdoor Outreach, a nonprofit that works with at-risk and underprivileged youth building confidence and self esteem through outdoor experiences—from surfing, snow boarding and snorkeling to camping, mountain biking and rock climbing. It's been nearly six years and I still get the biggest kick watching the kids' faces light up with surprise, laughter and pride on every trip. Aside from the trips, Outdoor Outreach sponsors cool fundraising and community events for all ages like the Puzzle Pursuit: The Dresden Codex.

On the weekends, I enjoy hiking Cowles Mountain which offers panoramic views from the peak, kayaking around Mission Bay or riding my bike from Torrey Pines State Reserve along the historical Pacific Coast 101 Highway.
