Active Network, Sports, a division of The Active Network, announces the launch of The National Public Parks Tennis Association (NPPTA) website to help NPPTA increase participation and awareness of tennis in public parks.

The goal of the website is to promote public parks tennis tournaments, provide an entry system to the National Public Parks Tennis Championships (NPPTC) being held in New Orleans, LA, July 21-29, 2008, and to create a history of tennis in the public parks. Tennis directors in park and recreation agencies can also visit the site to register their facility to host a public parks tennis tournament in their local area.

The NPPTA is networking with park and recreation agencies to enhance the visibility and opportunities to play tennis in those communities. The NPPTA has a tradition of advocating tennis facility improvements in communities throughout the country.
