What do you do?
I’m an Account Manager responsible for maintaining relationships with our state soccer and National Governing Bodies (NGBs) clients. As a technology consultant and liaison on behalf of my clients, I coordinate with other functional teams within Active Network to ensure that we deliver the marketing and technology services best suited to my clients' needs. On any given day, I’m involved in various projects including product demos, marketing initiatives and technical development schedules ... All in a day’s work!
What keeps you busy outside of work?
Well, I’ve played soccer my whole life — I played college soccer for three years at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, before transferring to the University of Colorado in Boulder. I now play in a couple of adult competitive soccer leagues, though I’ve been known to catch a televised game now and again at a local pub.
I’m also an outdoor enthusiast and avid surfer/snowboarder/ traveler. I recently climbed Mt. Whitney and completed my 2nd triathlon, both successfully! Next challenge: taking on the not-so-rolling hills in the Big Sur Half Marathon this fall!
I’m also a avid participant of "Active X", a boot camp-style wellness and training program created by one our own Active team members. It’s been a great way to stay in shape and meet my fellow co-workers.
What Olympic events are you planning to follow?
Like many soccer fans, I’ve been at a loss for international competition in the wake of EuroCup 2008. Hopefully, the Olympics will prove a good segue into the 2010 World Cup. Catch my blog on soccer at the Olympics. I’m also a fan of the Pentathlon and the men and women’s 400. Go USA!
